Location, location, location, and food: meet the Design District of Dallas. Once a warehouse district, this area is quickly becoming one of the trendiest and most convenient areas to call home. Working outside the city? This is your spot. Commuting to just about anywhere in DFW is a breeze, with quick access to I-35 and the Dallas North Tollway.
Living in the Design District puts you just minutes away from the American Airlines Center, where you can catch a Stars or Mavericks game, or check out what’s going on in any of the other neighboring urban areas, most notably Uptown, Victory Park and Oak Lawn.
Consider yourself a foodie? Welcome home. Some of the city’s top restaurants are in the design district, with everything from barbeque with a view of a Ferris Wheel (Ferriswheelers) to modern Italian at The Charles. Local favorite Ascension Coffee has a head-turning vine-covered patio where you can sip coffee in the morning and wine at night.
Recently selected as the site for the trendy, upscale Virgin Hotel, it’s safe to say this area will only continue to grow in the coming years. Our advice: get in before you can’t.
